Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Euan Daxton (ranked 2352 p4p, 3923 weight class) and Alanzinho Lisorim (ranked 291 p4p, 426 weight class). Alanzinho Lisorim is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daxton throws a lazy uppercut
and Lisorim counters with a left to the body.
Daxton throws a lazy right hand but Lisorim sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lisorim scores with a jab to the body.
Daxton has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Lisorim lands a nice hook to Daxton's body. Daxton takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Lisorim throws out a counter right but Daxton avoids it with no problem.

Daxton has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lisorim uses from the top position.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Daxton holds on and takes a little breather.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Lisorim working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Lisorim must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Daxton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Daxton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lisorim manages to get himself to full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lisorim can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lisorim lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Daxton tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lisorim smiles and moves away.

Lisorim scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Daxton doesn't seem bothered though.

A nice side step and Lisorim releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Daxton lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lisorim has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lisorim and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Daxton tries to clinch up but Lisorim circles away and keeps his distance.
Daxton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lisorim tries to avoid it but Daxton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lisorim to the ground. Lisorim escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
