The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alverz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Alverz. Jumeog shrugs it off though.
Jumeog stalks Alverz and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Alverz's face. Alverz staggers backwards, shaken.
Alverz connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Horrible takedown attempt by Alverz or perhaps it was just good defense by Jumeog, which made it look bad.
Ganghan Jumeog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jumeog closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Jumeog shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Alverz manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Alverz has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Jumeog is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jumeog's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
