PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anakin Skywalker (ranked 4008 p4p, 6044 weight class) and Trevor Trevor (ranked 439 p4p, 506 weight class). Anakin Skywalker looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anakin Skywalker !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Trevor Trevor!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Trevor takes the fight into the clinch.
Trevor is pressed up against the cage. Skywalker has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Trevor down to the mat. Trevor avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Trevor tries to clinch up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Trevor lands a left hand.
Trevor lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Trevor lands with a short shot to the head.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Trevor.

Skywalker turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Skywalker manages to end up in side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Skywalker looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Skywalker is breathing heavily.
Trevor can't do much from the bottom here.

Skywalker is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Trevor has escaped the position, nice work there.

Skywalker is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Trevor is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Skywalker tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Skywalker has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Trevor tries to buck Skywalker off but Skywalker is having none of it.
Trevor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Skywalker . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Skywalker is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Trevor knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Skywalker working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Skywalker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Skywalker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Trevor, who protects the arm well.
We've been hearing that Skywalker has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Skywalker thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Skywalker has an Americana. Trevor didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Skywalker is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Skywalker hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
