Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Ryder (ranked 2328 p4p, 2482 weight class) and Bing Bang (ranked 192 p4p, 205 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shaun Ryder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bing Bang!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bang leaves Ryder with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bang looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

and Bang counters with a left to the body.

Bang fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ryder, pushing him back against the cage.

Bang breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bang thuds his right hand into Ryder's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Ryder feints and as Bang raises his hands in defense, Ryder changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bang working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ryder doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ryder manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ryder stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bang swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bang bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ryder's guard.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A low kick lands for Bang.
Shaun Ryder is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bang lands a nice knee to the body.
Bang is pressed up against the cage. Ryder has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bang down to the mat. Bang avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Bing Bang is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ryder misses with a takedown attempt - Bang sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Ryder throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bang tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ryder is in Bang's guard.

Bang manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ryder manages to get himself to full guard.

Bing Bang has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bang lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Ryder is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bang takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Bang is working for a kimura but Ryder is defending it quite comfortably.
Bang thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ryder's head.

Bang wants to control but Ryder is keeping him busy.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Bang working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Ryder knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bang on the ground.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bing Bang showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Bang throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ryder on the side of the head.
Bang paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Horrible takedown attempt by Ryder or perhaps it was just good defense by Bang, which made it look bad.
Bang looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

and Bang counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bang.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A nice right hand lands inside from Bang.
Bang scores with a hook to the body.

Bang tries to land a knee to the head but Ryder blocks with his arms.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bang creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Bang has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Ryder regains guard immediately.

Ryder is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bang is aware though and is defending well.
Bang wants to control from the top but Ryder keeps moving.

Ryder is looking for a triangle here but Bang uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Ryder on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ryder tries to get out of the position.

Bang wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ryder keeps working.

Ryder is looking for a sweep.
Ryder can't do much from the bottom here.

Bing Bang comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bang has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A relieved looking Bing Bang thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
