With a record of 13 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nori Voluspa!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Darius Henderson and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Ape counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Nori Voluspa has been cut.

Voluspa shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Voluspa showed some decent athleticism there.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Voluspa working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Voluspa is nestled in close to Ape, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Voluspa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ape tries to avoid it but Voluspa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ape to the ground. Ape escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Voluspa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ape's waist but Ape gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Voluspa off to one side.

Voluspa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ape pinned against the cage. Ape gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Ape feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Voluspas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
