The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Polamalu has taken the fight to the clinch.

Polamalu rushes Blount and presses him up against the cage.

Polamalu decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Polamalu throws a push kick but Blount slaps the foot to one side.

Polamalu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Blount had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Polamalu defends it easily.

Blount pushes off an throws an elbow but Polamalu leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Polamalu gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Polamalu escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Blount is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Blount pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Polamalu fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Blount sprawls well initially but Polamalu persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Polamalu seems to be working for a kimura but Blount defends the submission attempt.

Rod Polamalu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Polamalu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
