The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie fails to land with a series of punches.
No joy there for Kjellstrom, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gracie throws a body punch but Kjellstrom moves out of range.
Gracie loads up on a big right hand but Kjellstrom slips the punch.

and Kjellstrom counters with a series of strikes that sends Gracie to the canvas! Kjellstrom follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!

Gracie is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kjellstrom passes into half guard.

Kjellstrom looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gracie regains full guard. Nicely done.

Kjellstrom is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kjellstrom gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Gracie is breathing heavily.

Kjellstrom drops back looking for a leg! Gracie is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gracie manages to kick Kjellstrom off! Kjellstrom jumps back into Gracie's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kjellstrom drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kjellstrom jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gracie has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kjellstrom is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gracie.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gracie is looking to regain half guard here but Kjellstrom keeps moving and retains side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gracie takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Gracie uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kjellstrom.
Kjellstrom steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Gracie is out on his feet! Kjellstrom sets himself and nearly takes Gracie's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
