Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mad Hatter (ranked 2306 p4p, 2130 weight class) and Brendon Carrillo-Moreno (ranked 143 p4p, 132 weight class). Mad Hatter could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Brendon Carrillo-Moreno's chin.

With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Brendon Carrillo-Moreno!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hatter throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Carrillo-Moreno counters with a shoot takedown. Hatter fights it but they end up in guard.
Carrillo-Moreno wants to pass the guard but Hatter is keeping the position.

Carrillo-Moreno is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hatter is just riding it out for now. Carrillo-Moreno eventually gives up the hold.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Carrillo-Moreno is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hatter doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Carrillo-Moreno.

Carrillo-Moreno is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Carrillo-Moreno closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hatter quickly recovers to half guard.
Carrillo-Moreno has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Carrillo-Moreno is looking for a kimura but Hatter is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Carrillo-Moreno to get the leverage.

Carrillo-Moreno shoots in looking for a takedown. Hatter tries to sprawl out of it but Carrillo-Moreno keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hatter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mad Hatter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brendon Carrillo-Moreno.
