The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marcos throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Marcos misses with a looping right.
As Marcos backs away, Gonsauvi returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Marcos tries to clinch but Gonsauvi moves out of range.
Marcos tries to clinch up but Gonsauvi circles away and keeps his distance.
A little feinted left hand from Gonsauvi on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Jab, jab by Marcos - just one landing.
Tino Marcos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marcos is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Gonsauvi was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Marcos gets caught flat footed, as Gonsauvi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Gonsauvi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Marcos has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gonsauvi has managed to get both his arms back between Marcos's legs - danger averted.
