Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurki Potku (ranked 789 p4p, 880 weight class) and Pete Dunham (ranked 117 p4p, 131 weight class). Dunham has chosen Im Forever Blowing Bubbles as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kurki Potku!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pete Dunham!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Ackerman and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunham lands a glancing blow to the side of Potku's head.

Potku fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dunham looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Potku rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dunham moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Potku is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Dunham moves away from the strike by Potku.
Potku closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dunham to the mat! Dunham manages to get full guard.
Potku looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Potku wants to control from the top but Dunham keeps moving.

Dunham wants to stand up but Potku is controlling him.
Potku passes into half guard.
Potku is looking for a kimura here.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Potku thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Potku passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Dunham!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Dunham lands with a thumping leg kick.
Dunham misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Potku half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Potku darts in looking for a takedown but Dunham gets double underhooks and turns Potku into the cage.
Dunham has a couple of punches blocked by Potku.
Potku has clasped his hands together around Dunham's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Potku tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Potku has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dunham can do anything to dispel that myth.
Potku wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dunham, who protects the arm well.

Potku is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dunham knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Dunham wants to get back to his feet.
Dunham really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Potku. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
