Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mathew Parson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bruno Bleak!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parson misses with a right hand

and Bleak counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Bleak seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Parson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Bleak is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Parson has managed to free his arm - good work.
Bleak works his way into full mount!
Parson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Parson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bleak pulls his head out easily.

Parson has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Bleak escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Bleak!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bleak working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Parson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bleak wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bleak perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Still in half guard, Bleak seems content to control.
Bleak wants to lay and pray for a moment but Parson keeps working.

Bleak moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Parson.
Parson tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Bleak presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Bleak is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Parson has escaped the position, nice work there.

Bleak tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bleak has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Parson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Bleak off and has taken his back!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bleak is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Parson gets his way!
Bleak breaks Parson's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bleak! But no joy.
Bleak slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Mathew Parson has been cut.
Bleak drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

and Bleak counters with a stiff right hand.
Parson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bleak manages to avoid it.
Bleak clobbers Parson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Mathew Parson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bleak ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

and Bleak connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Bleak fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Parson sprawls well initially but Bleak persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bleak wants to take a breather but Parson is having none of it.
Bleak might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Parson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Parson has got his arm under Bleak's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Bleak has spun round into Parson's guard beautifully! Well done that man!

Bleak drops back looking for a leg! Parson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Parson manages to kick Bleak off! Bleak jumps back into Parson's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bleak avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bleak stands and throws Parson's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Bleak tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Parson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bleak's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Bleak! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Parson has tapped! This one is allllll over!
