Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Kenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Luis Engracia and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kenzie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kenzie swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Souza gets a takedown into half guard.
Souza is taking a breather. Kenzie says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Kenzie is trying to stand.
Kenzie moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Souza must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kenzie lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Souza!

Souza is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Kenzie stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Kenzie throws out a loose jab but Souza uses good head movement to avoid it.
A combination from Kenzie does no damage.

Souza displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kenzie throws out the jab.
Souza fails in his attempt to clinch.
Souza changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kenzie tries to avoid it but Souza manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kenzie to the ground. Kenzie escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Souza shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kenzie tries to bum rush Souza with a series of wild strikes but Souza uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kenzie throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Souza staying out of range there.
Souza shoots in but Kenzie avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Patrick Kenzie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Souza.
Kenzie looks to land a left hand but Souza moved out of range nicely.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kenzie throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Souza on the side of the head.
It looks like Carlos Souza has been cut.
Souza shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kenzie pinned against the cage. Kenzie gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kenzie misses with a wild combination.
Kenzie throws the left hand but Souza avoids the punch easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
A punch lands to the side of Souza 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Kenzie scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Souza shoots in but Kenzie avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Souza on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Souza shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Souza is breathing heavily.
Kenzie throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Souza sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Kenzie's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Kenzie duly obliges.
Souza avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kenzie misses with a few strikes there.

Kenzie scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Souza doesn't seem bothered though.

Souza looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kenzie stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Souza avoids a punch combination nicely.
A combination from Kenzie does no damage.
Souza fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Patrick Kenzie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fighters circling - Kenzie throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Souza misses with a takedown attempt - Kenzie sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Souza has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kenzie finds it's way round the side to connect with Souza's head.
Kenzie scores with a jab. Souza acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Kenzie misses with an uppercut. Souza saw that one coming.

Kenzie throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Nice straight punches there by Kenzie. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kenzie.
Kenzie stuns Souza with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Souza tries to clinch up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kenzie looks to throw the jab but Souza is out of range.
Kenzie misses with a straight right.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Kenzie looks to land a left hand but Souza moved out of range nicely.
Souza ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Souza throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kenzie's waist but Kenzie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Souza off to one side.
Souza shoots in for a takedown but Kenzie shows good takedown defense.
Kenzie throws a series of punches but Souza avoids them all with ease.
Kenzie is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A decent looking cross lands there for Kenzie.
Souza takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kenzie moves into range and connects with a jab.
Carlos Souza's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Carlos Souza's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
