Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Worf Mogh (ranked 430 p4p, 732 weight class) and Amakusa Saneuji (ranked 32 p4p, 55 weight class). Mogh comes to the cage accompanied by Gimme The Loot. Saneuji is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Zen Spirit. Worf Mogh has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Worf Mogh!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Amakusa Saneuji!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Saneuji closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Saneuji lands in his opponent's guard.
Mogh wants to sweep here but Saneuji controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saneuji wants to control from the top but Mogh keeps moving.
Saneuji has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Gold Samurai's Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Saneuji postures up in Mogh's guard and throws a big left but Mogh blocks it.
Saneuji has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Saneuji drops back looking for a leg! Mogh is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mogh manages to kick Saneuji off! Saneuji jumps back into Mogh's guard.

Mogh is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mogh is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Saneuji is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mogh is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mogh has escaped and now he's on top!

Mogh postures up and lands a big shot to Saneuji's brow.
Mogh slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Saneuji is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Saneuji had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mogh defends it easily.

Saneuji working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mogh doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mogh manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Mogh keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Saneuji's head.

Saneuji has his foot on Mogh's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mogh works his way back into a safe position though.
Mogh might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Saneuji is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mogh is aware though and is defending well.

Saneuji escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mogh gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Mogh stands up over Saneuji, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Saneuji is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Amakusa Saneuji will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Saneuji looks for a takedown but Mogh sprawls well.
Mogh shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Saneuji eats them both and turns towards Mogh to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Saneuji is still on wobbly legs! Can Mogh finish him?
BOOM! Mogh lands a beautiful left hook that drops Saneuji. Saneuji tries to recover but Mogh is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Saneuji lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Worf Mogh!
Worf Mogh retains his bantamweight title!
After the fight, Worf Mogh was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
