Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yu Sei Songwong (ranked 2773 p4p, 2982 weight class) and Omar Dahir (ranked 346 p4p, 366 weight class). Yu Sei Songwong has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yu Sei Songwong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Omar Dahir!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Songwong wants to control from the top but Dahir keeps moving.

Songwong is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Dahir can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Songwong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Songwong drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dahir manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Songwong has Dahir in his guard.

Dahir is nestled in close to Songwong, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Dahir takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dahir connects with a nice short shot to Songwong's temple.

Songwong is rocked!
Dahir lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Songwong! More strikes land and this one is all over! Dahir jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Omar Dahir!
A relieved looking Omar Dahir thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
