I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Owen Alvarez was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dilbrandt misses with a leg kick.
Dilbrandt defending well as Alvarez loads up on a big left hand.
Dilbrandt throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Alvarez wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Dilbrandt ducks under a wild hook from Alvarez.
Dilbrandt swings for the body but Alvarez moves out of range.
Alvarez cracks Dilbrandt with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Alvarez works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Dilbrandt gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Alvarez.

Alvarez looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Dilbrandt!
Dilbrandt bucks up and tries to throw Alvarez off but instead Alvarez has got his back!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Alvarez has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Dilbrandt is defending well but eventually Alvarez manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Dilbrandt has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
