Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Sinclaire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Ribery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribery misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sinclaire slips a jab and a cross from Ribery.

It looks like Shane Sinclaire has been cut.
Sinclaire shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ribery pinned against the cage. Ribery gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ribery keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Ribery. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Sinclaire moves into full guard.

Sinclaire throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ribery escapes and throws Sinclaire's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Ribery wants to control but Sinclaire is keeping him busy.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sinclaire is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Sinclaire is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Ribery jumps into side control!

Frank Ribery showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sinclaire will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Shane Sinclaire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
