Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mareth Line (ranked 1418 p4p, 1316 weight class) and Abdul Rahman (ranked 182 p4p, 173 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Mareth Line has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mareth Line seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Line takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Line uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rahman.
Line bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A little feinted left hand from Line on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Line misses with a looping left.
Line changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Rahman throws a hook but Line avoids it easily.
Line throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Line defending well as Rahman loads up on a big left hand.
Line pivots, looking for a leg kick but Rahman is out of range and Line settles back down.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Line, as that shot connected.
The fighters circling - Rahman throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mareth Line seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A low kick lands for Line.
A telegraphed right hand from Rahman misses the target.
Rahman closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Mareth Line has been cut.

Line walks into a stiff left hand from Rahman.
Line steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rahman.

Line throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Rahman's head.

It looks like Abdul Rahman has been cut.

Line tried to counter with a leg kick but Rahman avoided it.
Line uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rahman.
Rahman throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Line swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Rahman thuds his right hand into Line's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Line throws a sloppy head kick and Rahman moves out of range easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Line takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Line lands with a kick to the ribs.
Rahman moves out of range as Line strikes.
Line moves forwards but Rahman connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Rahman might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Line lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Line takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Rahman tests Line's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Rahman throws the left hand but Line avoids the punch easily.

It looks like Line has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Line lands a leg kick that knocks Rahman off balance momentarily.
Line cracks Rahman with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Rahman looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Line fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rahman has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Rahman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Line circles away quickly and effectively.
Line ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rahman moves away.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Line.

Rahman looks to land a left hand but Line moved out of range nicely.
Rahman throws out a loose jab but Line uses good head movement to avoid it.
Line dodges the punch combination from Rahman.
Line scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Line throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Line jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Rahman looks to land a combination. Line sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Line cracks Rahman with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Rahman throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Line on the side of the head.
Line uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rahman.
Line looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Line takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Line lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Line throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rahman stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Rahman throws a lazy right hand but Line sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Line closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Rahman! Line dives in looking to finish! Rahman is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

An out of breath Mareth Line thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
