The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ulver drives through and clinches with ORourke against the cage.
ORourke prevents the takedown attempt.
ORourke goes for a takedown attempt but Ulver pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
ORourke is looking to clinch.

Ulver rushes ORourke and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
ORourke tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Ulver breaks from the clinch.
ORourke darts in trying to clinch
and Ulver counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
ORourke moves in looking to clinch but Ulver pushes him off.
Ulver misses with a body shot.
Ulver shoots in looking for a takedown. ORourke tries to sprawl out of it but Ulver keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. ORourke manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ulver throws and low kick but ORourke moves out of range easily.
Ulver throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around ORourke's waist but ORourke gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ulver off to one side.
Alex ORourke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arcturus Ulver.

Ulver tries to clinch but ORourke moves out of range.

Ulver darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Ulver not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
ORourke is trying to maintain the position but Ulver is very close to passing his half guard.
ORourke punching from the bottom.
Ulver controlling the pace.
ORourke tries to get to full guard but Ulver has control of the leg.
Ulver wants to lay and pray for a moment but ORourke keeps working.

ORourke is looking for a sweep. Ulver is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
ORourke swings for the body but Ulver moves out of range.
ORourke moves out of range of the body kick.
Ulver ducks down and throws a hook to the body but ORourke moves away.
ORourke keeps the fight on the outside.
Arcturus Ulver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
ORourke misses with a head kick.
ORourke ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
ORourke tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ulver was well out of range. Poor timing from ORourke.
Ulver moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Ulver cracks the inside of ORourke's front leg.
ORourke clinches but Ulver breaks the clinch

and Ulver moves into the clinch.
ORourke is breathing heavily.

Ulver pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ulver misses with a double jab.
Ulver closes the distance and clinches up with ORourke, looking for a takedown. Ulver pushes ORourke against the cage but ORourke circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
ORourke takes one to the side of the head.
Ulver tries a head kick but it misses.

Ulver scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
ORourke tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ulver has knee on belly and moves into mount.
ORourke is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ulver landing strikes from the mount.
ORourke is bucking up trying to escape but Ulver cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Ulver controlling the pace for now.
Ulver lands a big shot there that rocks ORourke but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Ulver working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. ORourke looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Ulver! Submission of the night perhaps?
