The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Nice takedown defense from Hussein. No joy for King on that attempt.
King tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hussein swivels and escapes.

Hussein forces King back against the ropes and clinches.
Hussein is pressed up against the ropes. King has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hussein down to the mat. Hussein avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

King drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and King jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Hussein looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Our spies down at at Convicted Top Team inform us that Hussein has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

King is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hussein is trying to control the position but King postures up.

Hussein has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but King can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

King drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hussein manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now King has Hussein in his guard.

Hussein slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

King manages to get back to half guard.

King looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
King is looking to improve his position.
Hussein wants to lay and pray for a moment but King keeps working.

King is desperately trying to improve his position but Hussein has a good base and remains in mount.

Hussein has control of King's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and King regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hussein is looking to work his way around to King's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
King tries to reverse the position but Hussein maintains control.

Hussein working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
King is wriggling around trying to escape.

Hussein swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
