The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almeida shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Almeida is trying desperately to land a takedown but Curry is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Almeida.

Curry drops Almeida with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Almeida looks back up at him and smiles so Curry waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Almeida tries to keep at a distance but Curry has taken the fight into the clinch.

Curry breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A nice right hand lands inside from Curry.

Curry lands a brutal uppercut that launches Almeida off his feet! Almeida tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
