Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vandinho Lisorim (ranked 3308 p4p, 3657 weight class) and Henry Bates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henry Bates is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bates throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lisorim swats away the attempt to clinch by Bates.
As Bates backs away, Lisorim returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Lisorim loads up on a big right hand but Bates slips the punch.
Lisorim misses with a wild combination.
Lisorim misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Bates scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Bates looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

It looks like Henry Bates has been cut.

Lisorim breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bates feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bates drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lisorim looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lisorim looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lisorim!

Lisorim remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Bates is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bates can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bates tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Bates is trying to maintain the position but Lisorim is very close to passing his half guard.
