Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tysus Jones (ranked 4288 p4p, 6055 weight class) and Exotic Winner (ranked 0 p4p, 376 weight class). Exotic Winner will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tysus Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Exotic Winner!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jones shoots in for a double leg but Winner sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jones is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Winner misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jones throws a leg kick
and Winner counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Jones gets a clinch.
Winner pushes Jones back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Winner prevents Jones from breaking the clinch.

Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Winner sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jones is trying to maintain a safe position but Winner gets an underhook and turns Jones into the cage.

It looked like Jones wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Winner pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Jones drops down looking for an ankle pick but Winner pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Winner lands a lovely overhand right.

Winner is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jones pulls him back up using the underhooks.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Winner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Winner is working an open guard so Jones takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Winner shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Winner tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jones tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Winner manages to circle out of the way.
Winner shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Winner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Winner clinches up with Jones and pushes him back against the cage.

Winner breaks from the clinch.
Winner dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Winner's head and hops out.
Jones is looking to counter the offense by Winner and move into the clinch.
Jones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Winner defends it nicely.
Winner is looking to clinch.
Jones throws a counter high kick but Winner was just alert enough to avoid it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Jones wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Winner is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Exotic Winner seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Winner sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jones somewhat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Winner pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Jones tries for a takedown but Winner sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Winner stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones.
Winner dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Winner's head and hops out.
Winner has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Winner decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jones has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Winner is working away from the top position though.
Winner thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jones's head.

Winner is trying to control. Jones wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Winner connects with a nice short shot to Jones's temple.

Tysus Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Exotic Winner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Winner moves into the clinch.

Winner has hold of one of Jones's legs. Jones is fighting the takedown attempt but Winner gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Jones manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jones has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Winner uses from the top position.
Jones wants to sweep here but Winner controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Winner drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jones looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jones looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jones!

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Exotic Winner will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Winner has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Jones stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Jones wants to get back to striking at distance but Winner won't allow it.
Winner has Jones pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jones manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Winner will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Winner moves out of range easily.

and Winner counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Jones gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Winner to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Winner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Winner tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jones lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Winner tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance.
Jones throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Winner counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Winner has Jones up against the cage in a clinch.
Winner tries for a takedown. No joy.
Exotic Winner seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jones manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
