Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ilias Khan (ranked 4319 p4p, 25131 weight class) and Dylan Toal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ilias Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dylan Toal!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Toal but Toal pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Toal looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Toal misses with a two punch combination.
Toal tries to bum rush Khan with a series of wild strikes but Khan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Khan thinks about countering with a head kick.
Toal misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Khan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Toal gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Khan.
Khan has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Toal after a bit of a struggle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ilias Khan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Khan tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Khan throws a leg kick but Toal sees it coming and moves out of range.
Khan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Khan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Toal tries to avoid it but Khan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Toal to the ground. Toal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Khan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Toal as he avoids it easily.

Khan is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Khan misses with a short punch on the inside.
Toal told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

Khan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Toal has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Khan has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Toal lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Khan circles away quickly and effectively.
Khan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Toal's waist but Toal gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Khan off to one side.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Khan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Toal keeps working.

Toal kicks Khan off and gets back to his feet.
Khan lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Khan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Toal is just riding it out for now. Khan eventually gives up the hold.
