Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pollos Hermanos (ranked 24460 p4p, 4230 weight class) and Mark The Hammer (ranked 525 p4p, 454 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pollos Hermanos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark The Hammer!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Hammer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hermanos as he jumps to the side.

The Hammer tries to keep at a distance but Hermanos has taken the fight into the clinch.
The Hammer tries to pull guard but Hermanos won't allow it.

The Hammer has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hermanos uses from the top position.
Hermanos throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as The Hammer works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now The Hammer is on top in guard.

Hermanos tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The Hammer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The Hammer wants to control from the top but Hermanos keeps moving.

Hermanos is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The Hammer wants to improve his position but Hermanos is controlling well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The Hammer is looking to control Hermanos's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can The Hammer avoid being mounted?
The Hammer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The Hammer tries to get to full guard but Hermanos has control of the leg.
Hermanos is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The Hammer is pulling down on Hermanos's head. It's preventing any offense from Hermanos, at least for the moment.

The Hammer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hermanos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hermanos definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Hermanos seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Hermanos wants to control from the top but The Hammer keeps moving.

The Hammer is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hermanos is aware though and is defending well.
The Hammer is trying to control the position but Hermanos postures up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The Hammer seems keen to control Hermanos's posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The Hammer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Hermanos is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Hermanos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hermanos wants to control the position but The Hammer says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Hermanos manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mark The Hammer will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

The Hammer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hermanos tries to avoid it but The Hammer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hermanos to the ground. Hermanos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The Hammer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hermanos's waist but Hermanos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing The Hammer off to one side.

Hermanos shoots in and bounces The Hammer off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The Hammer is looking for a triangle but Hermanos pushes his legs off easily.

The Hammer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hermanos trying to stand up but can't free himself from The Hammer's guard.

The Hammer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hermanos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hermanos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hermanos wants to get up but he can't break The Hammer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Hermanos working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of The Hammer's head.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hermanos tries to stand but The Hammer is controlling from the bottom.

The Hammer looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Hermanos is defending well. The Hammer quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Hermanos has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! The Hammer celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mark The Hammer!
