Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between KJ Hoodwell (ranked 5383 p4p, 2469 weight class) and Jason Stackhouse (ranked 0 p4p, 303 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Stackhouse 's choice of entrance music: True Blood. KJ Hoodwell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoodwell shoots in for a double leg but Stackhouse sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Hoodwell darts in and clinches Stackhouse up against the cage.
Stackhouse cracks Hoodwell with a nice body shot.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stackhouse content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Hoodwell drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Stackhouse gets through Hoodwell's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Stackhouse tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hoodwell avoids it.
Hoodwell tries to pull guard but Stackhouse holds him up against the cage and eventually Hoodwell drops back down to his feet.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Stackhouse stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Hoodwell definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Stackhouse lands a right hand that snaps the head of Hoodwell backwards.
Stackhouse lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Hoodwell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hoodwell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stackhouse as he avoids it easily.
Stackhouse checks the leg kick.
Stackhouse throws a head kick but Hoodwell moves out of range.
Stackhouse throws a head kick that misses.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hoodwell takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Stackhouse connects with a nice looking jab.

Hoodwell is rocked!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Hoodwell bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Stackhouse comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Hoodwell falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Hoodwell was out before he hit the floor!
