Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Remi Chavaski (ranked 1053 p4p, 897 weight class) and Rockwell Mcgee (ranked 156 p4p, 132 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Remi Chavaski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rockwell Mcgee!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Darius Henderson and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgee lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Chavaski fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Mcgee drives through and clinches with Chavaski against the cage.

Mcgee stalks Chavaski and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Chavaski's face. Chavaski staggers backwards, shaken.
Mcgee throws an overhand right that lands on Chavaski's shoulder, as Chavaski tries to avoid the shot.
Mcgee lands a slapping body shot.
Chavaski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mcgee as he jumps to the side.
Mcgee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Chavaski shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mcgee as he avoids it easily.

Mcgee tries to bum rush Chavaski with a series of wild strikes but Chavaski uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Chavaski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mcgee as he jumps to the side.
Chavaski wants to clinch.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mcgee misses with a lunging right hand

and Chavaski decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mcgee's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Mcgee is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Chavaski is controlling him.

Mcgee has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Chavaski off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Chavaski shoots in looking for a takedown. Mcgee tries to sprawl out of it but Chavaski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mcgee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mcgee unleashes a big counter combination but Chavaski bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Chavaski tries to clinch up but Mcgee circles away and keeps his distance.

and Mcgee counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Mcgee shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Chavaski eats them both and turns towards Mcgee to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Chavaski throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mcgee was covering up waiting for the punch and Chavaski finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Mcgee is looking to stand back up but Chavaski counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Mcgee.

Mcgee pushes Chavaski off and gets back to his feet.
Mcgee fails to land with a series of punches.
Mcgee misses with a looping right.
Mcgee has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Chavaski wants to clinch
and Mcgee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Chavaski takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Rockwell Mcgee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Chavaski counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Chavaski is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Chavaski tries to pass to full mount but Mcgee defends it.

Mcgee has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Chavaski is on him like a limpet, forcing Mcgee back against the cage.

Mcgee stands and steps away. Chavaski gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Mcgee stuns Chavaski with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

and Mcgee counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

As Mcgee tries to get set, Chavaski tries to push him back and clinch up but Mcgee manages to avoid the attempt.

Mcgee has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Chavaski seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Mcgee can turn it around.

Chavaski is working for takedown but Mcgee is calmly controlling the position for now.

Chavaski tries for a takedown but Mcgee sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Mcgee feints and then cracks Chavaski's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Chavaski down.
Remi Chavaski has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Chavaski is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Mcgee.
Chavaski shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mcgee sprawls well. Mcgee wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chavaski gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd cheers as Mcgee lands an impressive looking overhand right. Chavaski doesn't seem phased though.

Mcgee pushes Chavaski off looking to stand but Chavaski dives back in and keeps control.

Rockwell Mcgee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mcgee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
