Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sambo Sam (ranked 396 p4p, 630 weight class) and Buzz Killer (ranked 62 p4p, 95 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Sambo Sam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buzz Killer!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Topper Green and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Killer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Killer works Sam's body with a nice hook.
Killer swinging wildly here.

Sam shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Killer napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Sam moves into full mount!
Killer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sam. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sam throwing strikes but Killer uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Sam looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Killer with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Sam stalling.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Killer can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sam has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Nice strikes from Sam there.
Sam missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Sam prevents Killer from improving his position.
Killer tries to kick Sam off but Sam keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Sam is looking for a kimura but Killer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sam to get the leverage.
Sam has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sam trying to control from half guard but Killer is working away.
Sam is controlling the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sam wants to take a breather but Killer is having none of it.
Killer is looking to control Sam's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Killer avoid being mounted?
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Sam is looking for a kimura here.
Sam takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Killer is doing well to control the position and prevent Sam from advancing to side control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Sam shoots in looking for a takedown. Killer tries to sprawl out of it but Sam keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Killer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Killer lands with a nice combination. Sam backs away looking to recover.
Killer misses with the combination.
Sam avoids a punch combination nicely.
Killer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sam blocks a low kick nicely.
A combination from Killer does no damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sam throws a body punch but Killer moves out of range.
Killer throws a one two combo.
Sam shoots in looking for a takedown. Killer tries to sprawl out of it but Sam keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Killer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sam throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Killer on the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sam drops his hands momentarily and Killer takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Killer slips a jab from Sam.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
A head kick by Sam misses
and Killer counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Killer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sam.
Killer moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Killer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sam tries to close the distance and clinch up but Killer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Killer jabs Sam right on the nose. Sam blinks but takes it well.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Buzz Killer dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Killer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sam.
Sam on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Killer stuffs the takedown attempt from Sam. Sam gets slowly back to his feet.

Sam shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Sam sitting in guard, not really doing much.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sam trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sam passes Killer's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Killer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sam seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Killer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Sam is trying to work for a kimura but Killer is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sam seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Killer is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Sambo Sam!
Sambo Sam gave a mention to Un-Kaged Nutrition in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
