Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bardock Rao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ismo Ruma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruma is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Culture Club - Do You Really Want To Hurt Me. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Ismo Ruma enters the cage!

No luck for Ruma with that takedown attempt.
Rao throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Ruma tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rao swivels and escapes.
Rao misses with a takedown attempt
and Ruma counters with a single leg into guard. Rao didn't expect that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ruma won't allow Rao to get back to his feet.

Ruma stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rao swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rao throws a right and a left that Ruma avoids nicely.

Rao lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Ismo Ruma has been cut.
Ruma fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bardock Rao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ismo Ruma.
Rao clinches.
Rao tightens his grip and picks Ruma up, before dumping him to the ground. Ruma manages to land in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rao accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ruma is trying to control the position but Rao postures up.
Ruma keeping moving, preventing Rao from controlling successfully.

Ruma is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rao wants to stand but Ruma is controlling his posture from full guard.
Ruma manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rao manages to get himself to full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

A close round but Ismo Ruma will probably get the nod.

That's time! Rao's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Ruma fails with the takedown
and Rao counters with a nice body shot.
Rao closes the distance and clinches.
Rao wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Ruma has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rao is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Rao tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ruma just stands there and leans against the cage.
Ruma goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rao prevents it.
Bardock Rao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ismo Ruma.
Ruma tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rao has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Ruma is trying to keep an underhook but Rao manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Ruma tries to roll over but Rao keeps him under control.

Ruma has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Rao doesn't defend quickly enough and Ruma has managed to lock this one up! Can Rao escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Ruma on a fantastic submission victory.
