Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keanu Marlin (ranked 2228 p4p, 2192 weight class) and Timothy Combs (ranked 271 p4p, 262 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Keanu Marlin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Timothy Combs!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marlin throws a hook but Combs avoids it easily.
Combs loads up on a big right hand but Marlin slips the punch.
Combs shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Marlin sprawls well. Marlin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Combs gets slowly back to his feet.
Marlin swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Combs throws a poor cross that misses
and Marlin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've been told by Marlin's head coaches at Gumburcules Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Combs has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Marlin throws a lazy right hand but Combs sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Combs throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Marlin's waist but Marlin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Combs off to one side.

Combs bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Marlin's head backwards.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Marlin, as that shot connected.

A nice inside leg kick there by Combs. That's going to slow Marlin down.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Combs.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Marlin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Combs moves away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Combs wants to control from the top but Marlin keeps moving.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Combs throws the left hand but Marlin avoids the punch easily.
Marlin moves away from the strike by Combs.
Marlin pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Combs misses with a hook. Marlin ducked under it nicely.
Combs throws a jab when Marlin was well out of range.
Marlin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Combs manages to avoid it.
Marlin fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Combs on the side of the head.
Combs sizes up Marlin with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Combs takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Keanu Marlin dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Marlin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Combs is rocked!
BOOM! Marlin lands a beautiful left hook that drops Combs. Combs tries to recover but Marlin is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Combs lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
