The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beukeboom fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Congo manages to avoid it.
Congo throws a push kick but Beukeboom slaps the foot to one side.

We've been informed that Congo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

and Beukeboom counters with a really nice, stiff jab that drops Congo onto his ass. He'll have to take the mandatory count from the referee but he's back on his feet and he seems OK to continue.
