Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daisuke Toshimichi (ranked 1160 p4p, 2063 weight class) and Euan Daxton (ranked 171 p4p, 276 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toshimichi connects with a body shot.
Toshimichi scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Daxton's coach down at Elite Island Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Daxton's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Toshimichi connects with a nice looking jab.
Toshimichi displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Daxton throws out the jab.
Toshimichi scores with a sloppy right hand. Daxton should have avoided that one.
Toshimichi moves away from the strike by Daxton.
Daxton tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

A quick step to the side and Toshimichi tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Toshimichi throws out a powerful jab.

Daxton's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Daxton tries to pull guard but Toshimichi holds him up against the cage and eventually Daxton drops back down to his feet.

Daxton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Toshimichi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Daxton has his foot on Toshimichi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Toshimichi works his way back into a safe position though.

Daxton tries to counter with a clinch but Toshimichi shakes him off and moves away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Daxton ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Daxton no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Daxton has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Toshimichi should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Daxton has tightened it up now! Toshimichi should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
