Rua is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I Wanna Be Somebody by: W.A.S.P.. Pedro Rua has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rua looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Mayweather Jr had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Rua is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mayweather Jr Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Rua's back instead.
Mayweather Jr doesn't have the hooks in and Rua manages to turn into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rua is stalling in the full guard.

Rua got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mayweather Jr has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rua has managed to get both his arms back between Mayweather Jr's legs - danger averted.
Rua passes Mayweather Jr's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Mayweather Jr is not content to let Rua control the position.
Mayweather Jr tries to kick Rua off but Rua keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Mayweather Jr wants to control but Rua is keeping busy.
Rua lands strikes from half guard.
Rua uses his free foot to push down on Mayweather Jr's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mayweather Jr.
Rua controlling his opponent.

Rua connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Mayweather Jr is looking to improve his position but Rua isn't that keen on the idea.

Mayweather Jr tries to reverse the position but Rua maintains control.

Mayweather Jr is wriggling around trying to escape.
Mayweather Jr wants to try and get back to his feet.
Rua postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Mayweather Jr out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Rua goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
