Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kim Kapuan!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Bart Greer and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kapuan throws a head kick that misses.
Kapuan throws a head kick that Miata semi-blocks.
Kapuan tries a head kick but it misses.

Miata appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Miata avoids the head kick by Kapuan.

Miata closes the distance and pushes Kapuan back into the cage.
Miata manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Kapuan's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Kapuan fails to pull the fight into his guard.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Miata creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Kim Kapuan has been cut.
Kapuan takes a shot to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kapuan is looking to break free of the clinch but Miata has double underhooks.

Kapuan takes a shot to the head.
Kapuan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Miata walks away with a smile on his face. Kapuan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Kim Kapuan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Miata clinches up against the cage.
Miata lands with a short shot to the head.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Miata lands with a left to the head.
Miata keeps control of Kapuan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Kapuan takes a shot to the head.
Miata throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kapuans head.
Miata lands an uppercut.
Miata lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Miata is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Kapuan is trying to drag Miata to the mat but Miata just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Blizza Miata has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kim Kapuan.

Kapuan walks straight into a right hand from Miata - that's dropped him! Miata jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Kapuan from any more punishment! Kapuan complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
