Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tetsuo Shima (ranked 1825 p4p, 2397 weight class) and Sirus Hall (ranked 248 p4p, 311 weight class). Shima kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The HU - Yuve Yuve Yu. Hall has chosen Thin Lizzy - Cold Sweat as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sirus Hall was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shima is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
We've been told by Shima's head coaches at Trials Of Fortitude that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hall dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hall avoids a punch combination nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hall. Shima does a little dance to reset his feet.

Hall shoots in but Shima avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Shima decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Hall is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Shima rather than just go for the knockout.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Shima scores with a sloppy right hand. Hall should have avoided that one.

It looks like Sirus Hall has been cut.
Shima is looking to clinch.

Hall shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Shima defends it nicely.
Shima seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Horrible takedown attempt by Hall or perhaps it was just good defense by Shima, which made it look bad.

Hall scores with a hook to the body. Shima takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Hall tries to bum rush Shima with a series of wild strikes but Shima uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Shima drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Shima's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

A jab-cross combination lands for Hall and sends Shima crashing to the mat! Hall follows him down to the mat - Shima regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
