Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Scott Shotz (ranked 1810 p4p, 1506 weight class) and Shunsui Kyoraku (ranked 253 p4p, 218 weight class). Shunsui Kyoraku will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Scott Shotz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shunsui Kyoraku!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shotz takes a jab right on the kisser.
Shotz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Shotz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Shotz scores with a shot to the body.
Kyoraku clobbers Shotz with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Shunsui Kyoraku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Donk. Kyoraku catches Shotz right on the button with a cross.
Shotz is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Kyoraku throws a combination. Shotz tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
A big right from Shotz misses.
Some wild striking there from Kyoraku.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kyoraku waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Shotz.
Shotz appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Shotz throws a jab when Kyoraku was well out of range.
Shotz is looking to clinch.
Shotz's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kyoraku under the eye.
Kyoraku misses with a straight right.
Kyoraku's coach down at Elite Island Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kyoraku's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Kyoraku throws a hook to the side of Shotz's head but Shotz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Shotz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kyoraku sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The fighters circling - Kyoraku throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shotz staying out of range there.
A left and a right from Kyoraku both land. Nice combination.
Shotz ducks under a wild hook from Kyoraku.
Shotz throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Shotz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kyoraku is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Shotz misses with a double jab
and Kyoraku counters with a straight right hand.
Kyoraku misses with a hook. Shotz ducked under it nicely.
Shotz has a takedown stuffed.
Shotz gets the takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kyoraku wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Shotz tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kyoraku wants to get back to his feet but Shotz drags him back down.
Kyoraku is trying to improve his position.
Shotz has an Americana. Kyoraku didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Shotz is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Shotz hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Scott Shotz!
Scott Shotz gave a mention to Primal in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
