The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shewmaker misses with a straight right.

It looks like Hadebrand Drachmann has been cut.
Drachmann tests Shewmaker's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hadebrand Drachmann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Drachmann scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Drachmann throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Shewmaker has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Drachmann finds it's way round the side to connect with Shewmaker's head.

Shewmaker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nice straight punches there by Shewmaker. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Shewmaker.
Drachmann has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Drachmann throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shewmaker.
Drachmann cracks Shewmaker with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Shewmaker is looking to slow Drachmann down with leg kicks.

Drachmann throws a series of punches but Shewmaker moves out of range.
Drachmann dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Drachmann changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Drachmann moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Henry Shewmaker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Shewmaker has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Drachmann throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Shewmaker misses with a hook. Drachmann ducked under it nicely.

Shewmaker slaps away a takedown attempt from Drachmann, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Drachmann changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shewmaker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Drachmann thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Drachmann has an Americana. Shewmaker didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Drachmann is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Drachmann hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
