Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Guariglia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Guariglia feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Guariglia moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Guariglia sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Drake manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Drake, under a barage of strikes from Guariglia.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Guariglia is trying to control the action in half guard but Drake is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Drake fails to land with a series of punches.
Guariglia fails with the takedown.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Drake scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

That was a close round but I would say that Nick Drake will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Guariglia avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

It looks like Jeff Guariglia has been cut.
Nice defenses there by Guariglia.
Drake connects with a body shot.
Guariglia fails with a takedown attempt.
Guariglia walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Drake thuds his right hand into Guariglia's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Guariglia shoots for a double leg takedown but Drake sprawls well. He's pushed Guariglia's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Drake has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Guariglia is working away from the top position though.
Guariglia has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Drake works to full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Guariglia takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
