The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bullard scores with a decent looking hook.
Rankins clinches up with Bullard and pushes him back against the cage.
Bullard misses with a hook from the clinch.
Rankins manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Bullard pushes down on Rankins's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Rankins is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bullard is looking to advance position but Rankins won't allow it.
