Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joao Paulo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paulo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Morgan.
Morgan misses with a two punch combination.
Morgan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Paulo.
Paulo walks into a jab.

It looks like Joao Paulo has been cut.
Morgan throws a nice looking combination but Paulo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Paulo shoots in looking for a takedown. Morgan tries to sprawl out of it but Paulo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Morgan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Paulo counters with a right hand to the body.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
