Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Kiwi (ranked 984 p4p, 827 weight class) and Horacio Sadaval (ranked 142 p4p, 121 weight class). Kiwi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Reaper. Sadaval has chosen Prohibido Olvidar as his entrance music. Horacio Sadaval acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bruce Kiwi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Horacio Sadaval!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Anthony Taglia and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sadaval takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Kiwi looks to land a left hand but Sadaval moved out of range nicely.
Kiwi lands a body shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sadaval is defended easily by Kiwi.
Sadaval fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sadaval closes the distance and clinches up with Kiwi, looking for a takedown. Sadaval pushes Kiwi against the cage but Kiwi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bruce Kiwi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Horacio Sadaval.

Sadaval fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kiwi to the ground. Sadaval is now in Kiwi's guard.

Sadaval changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kiwi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kiwi seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Sadaval moves out of range of the strikes.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kiwi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sadaval dives in and grabs Kiwi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kiwi pushes down on Sadaval's head and hops out.
Sadaval tries for a takedown but Kiwi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sadaval darts in looking for a takedown but Kiwi gets double underhooks and turns Sadaval into the cage.
Kiwi feints and then cracks Sadaval's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sadaval down.
Bruce Kiwi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kiwi works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Kiwi gets caught napping as Sadaval dives in and scores a takedown. Kiwi manages to retain guard.
Kiwi wants to get back to his feet but Sadaval is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kiwi has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sadaval is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kiwi.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Sadaval feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Kiwi seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Kiwi throws a leg kick but Sadaval sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Kiwi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sadaval has time to react.

Kiwi swings for the body but Sadaval moves out of range.

Sadaval goes for a double leg but Kiwi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kiwi continues to drive forward.

Sadaval shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sadaval was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bruce Kiwi.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kiwi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
