Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Kenton (ranked 4565 p4p, 5278 weight class) and Khazmat Whittaker (ranked 499 p4p, 529 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Charlie Kenton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Khazmat Whittaker!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whittaker shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kenton as he jumps to the side.

Kenton scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Whittaker pushes Kenton off and gets back to his feet.

and Kenton takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kenton is breathing heavily.

and Whittaker moves into the clinch.
Whittaker has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kenton after a bit of a struggle.
Kenton can't get the takedown.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Whittaker is trying to drag Kenton to the mat but Kenton just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Kenton tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Whittaker just stands there and leans against the cage.

Kenton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Whittaker has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kenton has managed to get both his arms back between Whittaker's legs - danger averted.

Kenton really is a fat lump.
Whittaker is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Whittaker takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Let's hope that Whittaker has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Whittaker wants to pass the guard but Kenton is defending well.

Whittaker decides to return to a standing position.
Whittaker shoots in but Kenton avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Whittaker shoots in and drives through. Kenton sprawls well.
Kenton is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Whittaker fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kenton avoids it really well and circles away.
Whittaker tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kenton defends well and Whittaker ends up having to push Kenton into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Whittaker lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Whittaker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Whittaker lands with a good body shot.
Whittaker sizes up Kenton with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Whittaker closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kenton did well to prevent Whittaker getting side control.

Well, if Whittaker is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kenton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Whittaker performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Khazmat Whittaker dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Whittaker lands a glancing blow to the side of Kenton's head.

Whittaker closes the distance and clinches.
Kenton has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Whittaker is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Whittaker tries to circle away but Kenton has him pinned against the cage.
Kenton jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Whittaker walks away with a smile on his face. Kenton gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Whittaker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kenton tries to avoid it but Whittaker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kenton to the ground. Kenton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Whittaker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Whittaker thuds a left hand into Kenton's body.

Kenton gets tackled into the cage by Whittaker. Whittaker maintains the clinch.

Whittaker changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kenton fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Whittaker looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Whittaker lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kenton backwards.
Whittaker is working for takedown but Kenton is calmly controlling the position for now.

The referee calls for Whittaker to work.
A frustrated look appears on Whittaker's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Kenton has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Whittaker after a bit of a struggle.

Whittaker is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Whittaker wants to sweep but no luck.
Kenton looking to sit in guard and control but Whittaker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Khazmat Whittaker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Whittaker tries for a takedown but Kenton manages to get underhooks.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Whittaker.
Whittaker is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kenton gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Charlie Kenton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Khazmat Whittaker.
Kenton drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Whittaker gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Whittaker tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kenton just stands there and leans against the cage.
Whittaker wants to take the fight to the mat but Kenton manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Kenton is pressed up against the cage. Whittaker has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kenton down to the mat. Kenton avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Kenton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Khazmat Whittaker seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kenton scores with a one two! Whittaker had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Kenton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kenton defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Whittaker.

Whittaker gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Whittaker stalling.
Whittaker lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kenton or not.

Kenton jumps guard but Whittaker stands there with Kenton around his waist. Kenton gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Whittaker gets control of Kenton's arms and successfully pulls guard. Whittaker will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Whittaker has his foot on Kenton's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kenton works his way back into a safe position though.
Kenton slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Whittaker tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kenton wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Khazmat Whittaker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Whittaker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
