Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Adam Joshua (ranked 5606 p4p, 4450 weight class) and Clyde Winston (ranked 510 p4p, 471 weight class). Clyde Winston is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joshua gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Winston can't find room to land a body shot as Joshua controls the action.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Joshua takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Joshua decides to pull guard.
Winston wants to pass the guard but Joshua is keeping the position.

Joshua is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Winston has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Winston tries for a kimura but Joshua is defending well.

Winston is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Joshua is surviving well by controlling Winston's body position as best he can.

Joshua tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Clyde Winston dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Joshua tries to clinch but Winston is having none of it.

Joshua shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Winston's guard.

Winston has his foot on Joshua's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Joshua works his way back into a safe position though.
Winston can't keep his opponent in guard - Joshua advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Joshua looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Winston with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Winston gets full guard.

Joshua has gone for a leg lock! Winston slips out almost immediately though and dives into Joshua's guard.

Winston is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Joshua!
Winston can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Joshua is looking to escape.

Winston has hold of Joshua's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Joshua manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Winston has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Winston is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Joshua is tapping out! This one is all over!
