PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Corwin Anstey (ranked 2048 p4p, 2909 weight class) and Psmfisd Tamdfjsmf (ranked 267 p4p, 356 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 35 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Psmfisd Tamdfjsmf!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamdfjsmf throws a head kick that misses
and Anstey counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A looping hook to the body misses from Anstey. Tamdfjsmf does a little dance to reset his feet.

Tamdfjsmf gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Anstey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tamdfjsmf tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Anstey paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Anstey feinted with a counter takedown.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tamdfjsmf looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

We've been told by Anstey's head coaches at Cozad MMA Montreal that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Tamdfjsmf tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anstey swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Tamdfjsmf's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Anstey connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Tamdfjsmf scrambles back to his feet.

Anstey lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
