Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kenta Michinoku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Halberstram (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halberstram has chosen Tool-The Pot as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michinoku throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Michinoku throws a quick inside leg kick.
Michinoku takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

It looks like Kenta Michinoku has been cut.
Michinoku shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Halberstram as he jumps to the side.
Michinoku throws a body kick that misses.
Halberstram throws a right and a left that both miss.
Halberstram swinging wilding here.
Halberstram throws a push kick but Michinoku slaps the foot to one side.
A nice leg kick lands there from Michinoku.
Halberstram scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Michinoku doesn't seem bothered though.
Horrible takedown by Michinoku or perhaps it was just good defense by Halberstram which made him look bad.
Halberstram checks the leg kick nicely there.
Michinoku throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Michinoku attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Halberstram rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Michinoku moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Michinoku is looking to chop away at Halberstram's legs.
Michinoku misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Horrible takedown by Michinoku or perhaps it was just good defense by Halberstram which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenta Michinoku. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Halberstram throws a body punch but Michinoku moves out of range.
Danga de danga de dang - Halberstram scores with a four punch combination!
Michinoku avoids the head kick by Halberstram.
Michinoku has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Michinoku fails with a takedown attempt.
Michinoku throws a head kick that misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Halberstram sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Halberstram drops Michinoku with a right and a left! Halberstram comes rushing in but Michinoku regains his composure and manages to keep Halberstram in guard.

Michinoku is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Michinoku is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Halberstram dives into side control.
Oh Michinoku is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Halberstram is working to tighten is grip on Michinoku's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Michinoku has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Halberstram is really squeezing tight and eventually Michinoku passes out! Halberstram breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
