Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lou Sabatory!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sabatory looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Copslapper scores with a shot to the body.

and Copslapper counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Copslapper scores with a jab to the head.

It looks like Lou Sabatory has been cut.
Sabatory misses with a takedown attempt - Copslapper sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Shiphead Copslapper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lou Sabatory.

Copslapper has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Copslapper is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sabatory can do to turn this around?
Sabatory can't keep his opponent in guard - Copslapper advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Copslapper looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Copslapper's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Sabatory has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad MMA Los Angeles. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Copslapper is stinking the place up with his stalling.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Copslapper chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Copslapper throws a nice inside leg kick.
Sabatory shoots in and drives through. Copslapper sprawls well.
That kick from Copslapper tenderised Sabatory's leg. Sabatory is trying to keep his angry face on.
Sabatory has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Copslapper.
Sabatory shoots in looking for a takedown. Copslapper tries to sprawl out of it but Sabatory keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Copslapper manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Sabatory.
Shiphead Copslapper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lou Sabatory.
Copslapper fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sabatory.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Copslapper lands a nice looking body kick.
Lou Sabatory is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sabatory takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Copslapper lands with a good body shot.
Copslapper feints and then cracks Sabatory's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sabatory down.
Copslapper connects with a leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Copslapper lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

That has opened up Lou Sabatory's cut even more.
Sabatory takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

A head kick by Copslapper - that's a beauty! Sabatory is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Copslapper can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Shiphead Copslapper!
After winning the bout, Shiphead Copslapper thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
