The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It seemed like Duran was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Duran takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bo Duran dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Duran throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Chai sees it coming and avoids it easily.

It looks like Bo Duran has been cut.
Duran takes a kick to the side of the head.
Chaikka Chai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chai throws a head kick but Duran moves out of range.
Duran lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Chai throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Duran steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Chai.
Chai throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Chai ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Duran moves away.
