The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russo on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Asby displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Russo throws out the jab.
Asby moves out of range of the strikes.
Asby fails with a takedown attempt.
Russo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

It looks like Bjorn Asby has been cut.
Asby closes the distance and clinches up with Russo, looking for a takedown. Asby pushes Russo against the cage but Russo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Russo fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Russo cracks Asby with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Asby looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Russo finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Asby fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Asby avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Russo cracks Asby with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Russo has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Asby to stand back up!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Russo with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Asby to score with a decent uppercut.

Asby looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Russo throws an overhand right that drops Asby like a sack of potatoes! Russo dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
