Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andor Kovacs (ranked 3511 p4p, 3848 weight class) and Moe Lester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Moe Lester was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Andor Kovacs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Moe Lester!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovacs throws a head kick but Lester moves out of range.
Kovacs throws a right and a left that Lester avoids nicely.
Kovacs moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Kovacs jabs Lester right on the nose. Lester blinks but takes it well.
It looks like Moe Lester has been cut.
Kovacs misses with a looping left.
Good exchange - Kovacs coming out on top.
Lester swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kovacs throws a head kick but Lester moves out of range.
Lester misses with a looping right.
Kovacs avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kovacs moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Lester throws an off balance right hand
and Kovacs cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jab, jab by Kovacs - just one landing.
Kovacs dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Lester swings for the body but Kovacs moves out of range.
Lester has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
A jab-cross combination lands for Kovacs and sends Lester crashing to the mat! Kovacs follows him down to the mat - Lester regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kovacs works his foot free and advances to mount.
Kovacs thowing shots but they're missing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lester avoids a series of strikes thrown by Kovacs.
Lester tries to reverse the position but Kovacs maintains control.
Kovacs tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Lester has left one of his arms exposed and Kovacs doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Lester screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Andor Kovacs!
Andor Kovacs was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
