Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Maegher (ranked 4012 p4p, 4473 weight class) and Pedro Diano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Diano.
Maegher tries to counter with a takedown but Diano is quick to defend against it.
Maegher fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Maegher shoots in but no luck this time.

Maegher closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Maegher lands in his opponent's guard.
Maegher wants to pass the guard but Diano is keeping the position.

Maegher is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Diano looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maegher distracts Diano with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Maegher is stalling in the full guard.
Maegher stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Diano swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Diano not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Diano tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Maegher drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Diano manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Maegher has Diano in his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Diano is posturing up here but Maegher has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Diano tries to roll out but it's too tight and Diano has to tap! Slick submission there by Maegher!
