Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ansell Belhanache (ranked 25395 p4p, 4459 weight class) and Trey Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Belhanache comes to the cage accompanied by Thé a la menthe. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ansell Belhanache!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trey Wood!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belhanache looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Wood looks for a takedown but Belhanache sprawls well.

Belhanache gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Wood has gone for a leg lock! Belhanache slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wood's guard.

Belhanache is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Belhanache won't allow Wood to sweep him here.
Belhanache wants to pass the guard but Wood is keeping the position.

Wood manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Belhanache manages to get himself to full guard.

Wood is stalling in the full guard.
Wood's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Belhanache has his feet on Wood's thighs here. He's pushed Wood off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Wood screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ansell Belhanache decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
